December 2, 2009 ( three weeks before my dec 24th due date) at 10:17 p.m, we welcomed our beautiful daughter into the world. She was 6'10 and 19 in. She was extremeily healthy and a little doll. The last week has been amazing with her. She is doing excellent with the breast feeding and her brothers will not leave her side. Life cannot get much better than this.

Wednesday....Wednesday!

Our boys have been gone a week and a half now and we really have been enjoying our “free time” but we are definability missing the boys like crazy now... Wanting this week to fly so I can see them! They are having the time of their lives in Newfoundland!!!! They have a new and adventurous story for us every day and are just having the greatest time with mom and dad. They are leaving to come back on Sunday or Monday of next week so Lee and I still have a weekend together… so we are thinking about a camping trip this weekend or at least a relaxing day at the beach. It has been busy at work with yearend being in August at our company so I am thinking my post will only be a check in from time to time for the next few weeks! I will try my best!

Baby Baby…..

Here the pictures from my recent ultrasound. It was amazing.... Myself and Lee, Ryan and Tyler and my Mom and Nan were able to be there. It was so nice to see the baby and also to see the look on Ryan and Tyler’s face when they saw the baby moving. Everything is going really good. The original due date was one day off so I am now due on December 24………

Weekend in a Nutshell……..

1st year Anniversary, My Sister is back, shipping off the Boys and One Injured Dog!

1st year Anniversary
Yesterday was our 1st year anniversary so we are planned a BBQ with friends and family on Saturday night. My parents gave us a BBQ as an anniversary gift so we decided to put it to good use and celebrate with some tasty food. We were thinking that we would go out for dinner and a movie and all that fancy stuff but decided that the cost of the dinner and movie would be better spent spending the night with our boys and friends and family! We had steak and ribs, potatoes and salads. It was quite the feast and a great time!
Happy Anniversary to my husband of one year! It’s been a blast and I look forward in celebrating it again with you year after year for the rest of our life…….

My Sister is back
My sister and her boyfriend Corey got back from Newfoundland on Saturday, she is here to do her last year at UPEI. She was in NL throughout the summer to do her internship for dietetics so she has been quite busy. So glad to have her back! She will have a busy few weeks but will have a two week break before hitting the books for the year so it will be good to get some camping trips and beach time in. I am very excited that she is going to be here with me when the baby is born, it is going to be excited to spend the rest of the summer and the upcoming year with her!

Shipping off the Boys
My mom was up for the last week taking care of the boys for us and the boys decided that they were going to head back to Newfoundland to see pop. So yesterday Lee and I dropped mom and the boys off in Woods Island to catch the ferry to Nova Scotia. From there she met up with dad’s cousin Sally and my Nan. Sally gave them a ride to New Glasgow where the boarded the Acadian Lines bus and heading to North Sydney to catch the boat to Newfoundland. If you know the Newfoundland ferries you know for sure that it is never on time, so what was supposed to be 11:30 crossing left North Sydney at 5:30 this morning. So as I type they are still continuing the “adventure” (as Tyler calls it) to Newfoundland to see pop. Speaking of Poppy, he has no idea that they are heading home with mom (hehehe I love surprises)! We told him that the ferry was over booked and the boys could not get on the crossing, which was true up until the last minute when some spots opened up. So mom told him that she was leaving on the bus for NS at 8:00 yesterday morning when in fact she took the ferry with the boys at 4:30. Mom is planning on having them walk off the shuttle first. I wish I was there to see the look on his face!!!! He was pretty disappointed to hear that they were not coming so I am sure he will be glowing when he sees them come off the bus!

One Injured Dog
Our dog Maggie stays out in Brackley Beach with Lee parents where for now until we are into a place that is suitable to have her. She loves it out there as there is tons of room to run and play. She gets very excited when we go see her and shows it by running loops through the woods around the house and back to the car.
Lee went out to his parents on Wednesday night and Maggie as usual made her dash threw the woods around the house but this time instead of making her dash to greet Lee at the car she ran in the house and went straight under the bed. Lee went to see what was wrong with her and noticed that it looked like she ripped her fur out and had a cut but because she was under the bed could not get a good look at it. He called me and told me what had happened and said that he thought that she would need stitches but because it was close to 8:00 in the night we would she what it was like in the morning. When I got to work on Thursday lees mom had 3 messages on my voicemail and I knew things where not good. I guess she was licking it and picking at it though the night and the cut was completely open showing her stomach muscle and she wasn’t in good shape. Lee’s cousin was visiting Jim and Laverne, so they where kind enough to bring her into the vet where we met them. When she got there she was again excited to see us but not the happy go-lucky Maggie that I am use to. The doctor took her in immediately and told us that he would have to look inside and around the stomach to make sure that there is no damage before stitching her up. She was there for the day and we picked her up after work. There was no damage but a lot of bruising inside which caused them to have to insert a drain tube. So the poor thing has 20 stitches to close the wound and a drain tube that has to be there for 14 days. She has to wear a cone and be taken outside on a leash so she is not running and jumping around. She is not taking this well at all. She seems so depressed and it is heartbreaking to watch her try to get comfortable. She still has until August 13th before she gets any sort of break at all. Poor pup!!!!

So that has been my weekend …. Missing the kids like crazy right now but so happy they get to spend some time in Newfoundland! Lee and I plan to take advantage of the time alone over the next few weeks although I think in a few days we will be missing the boys way too much and just wishing the time here away to have them back again! But we would not want the time to fly so fast in Newfoundland tough so nanny and poppy get tons of time with Ryan and Tyler!

Lost little boy:(

Me, Mom, Nan and Tyler went to the Atlantic Superstore last night to get some groceries. I decided to run and get my prescription filled when they were in the produce section. Mom came over with Tyler and told me that he needed to go to the bathroom and went back to the cart. Tyler then decided that he didn’t need to pee anymore and wanted to go with nanny, so I took him around the corner and pointed to mom who was literally 5 feet away and said there is nanny stay with her. Mom was back on to us looking at the groceries so we never caught her eye. I assumed he was with her while she assumed that he was still with me. So I continued waiting to get my prescription and heard the announement over the system. “A little boy has been lost, his name is Conner. Would his mom please come to the customer service desk and get him.” The announcement sent shivers down my spine, I just can’t imagine how fearful it is for a little boy to lose his mom or dad. I continued waiting for my prescription and while paying for it I heard the exact same announcement again, “A little boy has been lost, his name is Conner. Would his mom please come to the customer service desk and get him”. I started walking to find Mom, Nan and Tyler and just had this awful feeling. I turned around and then went to the customer service desk, I just knew in my heart that that little boy was not Conner it was Tyler and sure enough when I got to the desk there he was wearing his favorite blue hat, eating a banana and sobbing away. I just starting bawling and ran and took him and with the shock and fear and everything else, I just yelled out "his name is not Connor his name is Tyler" and took him and ran to find mom. I felt so bad but I was so mesmerized and could not shake the feeling that I really did not know what to do. My poor baby was left by his self for at least 20 minutes and I can’t imagine how that felt for him. When Mom and Nan seen me coming down the aisle holding him and the both of us where crying they just lost it too so there was the four of us standing in a circle bawling and all the shoppers thinking that we were crazy! Ohh my I am soo thankful to god that he let me know that it was Tyler that was lost! I always believe that the bond between and mother and child is unbreakable and I am so glad that my maternal instincts and that bond allowed me know that it was Tyler sitting at the counter waiting for me! I can’t shake the feeling of “what ifs” but I know I just have to be thankful that I have him! Oh yeah and I did go back and thank the staff once I calmed down and was able to talk!

Dr. Appointment….. Number 4

I am now 18 weeks and 5 days. At this week’s visit we heard a very active little baby. The heartbeat was coming in and out because the baby was busy flipping and kicking. I am starting to feel quite a bit of movement which is my favorite part of pregnancy. There is nothing more calming then the feel of the kicks and life. Heartbeat this week was 160 and I am up 3 pounds. The doctor has prescribed Zantac for my indigestion and heartburn and is hoping that curing this will cure my upset stomach. Tomorrow is the ultrasound and we are all very excited…. Will let you know the details and tell you about the looks on my boys face. That is going to be as exciting as seeing our new addition for the first time!
